The Union of Jurists of Romania is a non-profit making and non-governmental organisation.
Its headquarters is in Bucharest, 22 Magheru Avenue, 1st district, postal code 010334.
President: Dr. Gavril Iosif Chiuzbaian

The Union of Jurists of Romania is the publisher of the following magazines:

• “DREPTUL” – monthly publication for juridical doctrine and case-law (founded in 1871)
  
• “THE PALACE OF JUSTICE” – monthly publication for juridical information and culture (founded in 1916)

It is the event organiser of:

• the scientific manifestations to which attend juridical personalities and public figures from Romania and from abroad
• the award of scientific prizes takes place every year, manifestation where prizes are awarded to the most important books of law of the year
• the scientific manifestations occasioned by the “Justice Day”

The Union of Jurists of Romania is in possession of a documentary library that contains more than 1750 tomes with juridical profile.

It is a member of the International Association of Democratic Jurists (an association which has the status of observer next to UNO), a member of its Executive Office and the holder of a vice-president seat.
